Privacy Policy
Effective: October 12, 2026
1. Who We Are and What This Covers
The Quiet Oracle is operated by NIXX TECH GROUP INC., 7901 4th St N, Suite # 36221, St. Petersburg, FL 33702, USA ("NixxTech," "we," "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use The Quiet Oracle website, web app and mobile apps (the "Service"), how we use it, who we disclose it to, and the choices you have.
Privacy contact: privacy@the-quiet-oracle.com.
2. The Short Version
- Your readings, journal and birth details are private to your account unless you choose to share them.
- Readings are generated by artificial intelligence. To generate one, we send the content needed for it to an AI service provider that processes it for us under contract.
- We do not sell your personal information. We do not show advertising. We do not use your readings, questions or journal to train AI models, and we do not allow our AI service provider to.
- You can delete readings, people in your Orbit, memory and your whole account in the app, and you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you.
3. Information We Collect
Information you give us
- Account details. Your email address, a password (stored only in hashed form), and a name or display name if you provide one. If you sign in through Google, we receive your name and email address from that provider.
- Birth details and chart. The date, time and place of birth you enter, and the chart we calculate from them.
- Reading content. The cards you enter or photograph, photographs you upload for card recognition, the questions you ask, your chosen reader voice and reading options, and the readings generated for you.
- Journal entries and notes you write.
- Memory themes, if you turn memory on (Section 6).
- People you add to your Orbit (Section 7).
- Chart sharing. If you share your chart or connect with someone who shared theirs (Section 8): the name you choose to be shown by, the link, when it expires and when it was stopped, how you say you know the other person, whether you have chosen to show them your full chart, and a record of your agreement, which is when you agreed, which version of the wording you were shown, and in which language.
- Communications. What you send when you contact support.
- Preferences. Language, notification and daily card settings.
Because you choose what to ask, your questions and readings may include sensitive subjects, such as health, relationships, sexuality, beliefs or money. Please include only what you are comfortable sharing. We use this content only to provide the Service to you.
Information collected automatically
- Usage information. Which features you use and how often, such as reading and scan counts, used to operate plan limits and improve the Service.
- Device and log information. IP address, browser or app version, device type, operating system, language, and the dates and times of requests, used for security, fraud prevention and troubleshooting.
- Push notification tokens, if you turn notifications on.
Information from others
- Payment information. Payments are handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number. We receive your plan, payment status, a customer reference, and limited billing details such as the last four digits and country of the card.
- App stores. If you buy through an app store, the store tells us about the purchase and its status. It does not give us your payment details.
- People who add you. If another user adds you to their Orbit, they provide a name or nickname and birth details for you (Section 7).
- People you connect with. If you connect with someone through a chart link, they see the name and signs described in Section 8, and they can ask for readings of the two of you.
4. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- provide the Service: create and secure your account, calculate charts, generate readings, recognize cards from photographs, produce read-aloud audio, and keep your history and journal;
- process payments and manage subscriptions, trials and credits;
- send service messages about your account, billing and security;
- send your daily card by email or notification, only if you ask for it;
- provide support;
- enforce plan limits and our Terms, and detect, prevent and investigate fraud, abuse and security incidents;
- understand in aggregate how the Service is used, and improve it;
- comply with law and protect our rights and the rights and safety of others.
We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, use it for targeted advertising, or use your reading content, questions or journal entries to train artificial intelligence models.
5. How Readings Are Generated
Readings are generated by artificial intelligence working from The Quiet Oracle's own canon: card meanings, placements and a method of reading that we wrote and that belong to us. Card recognition from photographs and read-aloud audio are also produced by artificial intelligence.
To do this, we send content to a third-party AI service provider that processes it for us under contract, as our service provider and only on our instructions.
Your agreement. When you create an account, you agree that your questions, cards and chart details are sent to our AI service provider. The list below sets out everything that is sent, feature by feature. Memory themes are sent only if you turn memory on.
What we send, depending on the feature you use:
- the cards in your reading, or the photograph you upload for card recognition;
- the question you asked and the reading options you chose, including the reader voice;
- chart placements calculated from your birth details;
- for a relationship reading or a reading you ask together with someone, that person's chart placements, and the first names or nicknames of you and that person;
- if memory is on, the themes listed on your memory page;
- the text of a reading, when you ask for it to be read aloud, and when memory is on so that themes can be noted.
What we do not send: your email address, your password, your payment details, or your journal entries.
If you are connected with someone through a chart link (Section 8), your chart placements and the name they know you by are also sent when that person asks for a reading of the two of you.
What the provider may do with it. The provider is permitted to use this content only to return the result to us. It is not permitted to use it to train its models. It may retain the content for a limited period, currently up to 30 days, to monitor for abuse and misuse, after which it is deleted. Content flagged as potentially unlawful may be retained longer for review where the law requires or allows it.
We may change the AI service providers and technology we use. If a change affects what is described here, we will update this policy.
6. Memory
Memory is off unless you turn it on. When it is on, we keep short notes on the subjects you bring to readings, such as "a job decision," and include them as background in your later readings. You can see everything kept on the memory settings page and delete it there at any time. Turning memory off deletes what is kept. Notes that have not appeared in a reading for 90 days are no longer used. Memory notes are never shown to anyone else, including a person you hold a joint reading with.
7. Information About Other People
When you add someone to your Orbit, you give us a first name or nickname, a relationship type, and that person's birth details. We calculate their chart and keep the chart positions, the name or nickname, and the relationship type. We do not keep the birth date, time or place you typed. Because a chart can reveal a birth date, we treat it as personal information about that person.
You should add someone only with their permission. If that person claims their chart, they get their own account and control it.
Connecting through a chart link (Section 8) is different. Nobody enters another person's details. Each person gave us their own birth details and agreed for themselves.
If someone added you and you want your information removed, write to privacy@the-quiet-oracle.com and we will delete it.
8. Sharing You Control
Readings are private to your account unless you share one. You can:
- share a reading with a person in your Orbit, who must sign in to see it;
- create a link that anyone who has it can open. A link expires after 7 days, keeps your question hidden unless you choose to show it, and stops working as soon as you turn it off;
- hold a reading jointly with a person in your Orbit. It is visible to both of you once they have claimed their chart, and stops being visible to them if you remove them.
Sharing your chart
You can create a link to a page about your own chart. Nobody else can create one for you.
- What the page shows. The name you choose, your Sun and Moon signs, your Rising sign if you gave a birth time, and our text about how those signs sit together. It does not show your birth date, time or place, or the rest of your chart.
- Who can open it. Anyone who has the link, without an account. We tell search engines not to list these pages.
- How long it lasts. A link works for 30 days from when you create it or last send or copy it from the Service, and stops at once when you turn it off. A link that has been stopped or has expired looks the same as one that never existed. Stopping a link does not end connections already made.
- Connecting. A person who opens your page and has their own account and chart can choose to connect with you. We tell you this before you create the link. Connecting is that person's own choice, made on its own screen. Until they make it, we tell you nothing about them, including whether anyone opened your page. When someone connects, they appear in your Orbit and we send you a notice. We send one for every connection. While 200 people are connected with you through your link, it stops accepting new ones.
- What connected people see. Each of you sees the name the other gave and the other's Sun, Moon and Rising signs, and each of you can ask for readings of how your two charts fit. To write those readings we use both charts and send content to our AI service provider as described in Section 5. Neither of you sees the other's full chart, meaning the wheel, the houses and the other placements, unless that person switches it on for you. They can switch it off again.
- What a reading can reveal. A reading of two charts describes in words how the planets in one chart meet the planets in the other, and the longer readings name those points one by one. Someone who knows astrology well could use them to estimate roughly when the other person was born. A reading does not use a person's houses or angles unless that person has switched on their full chart for the one asking. Connect only with people you are comfortable with.
- Places in an Orbit. The places in an Orbit are for people its owner adds. A connection made through a link uses one place, in the Orbit of the person who accepted the link, and none in the Orbit of the person who shared it. If the person accepting has no place free, we offer them the choice to make room or change plan, and there is no connection until they have a place. If they decide not to, nothing about them is kept in the account of the person who shared the link.
- Ending a connection. Either of you can end it by removing the other from your Orbit. It ends for both of you, the copy of each person's chart held for the other is deleted, and readings either of you had shared with the other stop being visible. The text of readings each of you already asked for stays in the account of the person who asked. The record of the points where the two charts meet, stored with each of those readings, is cleared (Section 10).
- Deleting your account stops your link, ends your connections, deletes the copies of your chart held for other people, and clears the record of the points where the charts meet from readings other people asked for about you.
9. Who We Disclose Information To
We disclose personal information only as follows.
Service providers that process it on our behalf, under contracts that limit them to providing their service to us and require them to protect it:
| Category | What they do | What they handle |
|---|---|---|
| Cloud hosting and infrastructure | Run and deliver the Service | All information that passes through the Service |
| Database and authentication hosting, located in the United States | Store account and Service data, and handle sign-in | Account details, charts, reading content, journal, settings |
| Artificial intelligence services | Generate readings, recognize cards, produce audio | The content described in Section 5 |
| Payment processing (Stripe) | Take payments and manage billing | Payment details, email, billing status |
| Email delivery | Send account, billing and daily card emails | Email address and message content |
| Security and bot protection | Protect sign-up and the Service from automated abuse | IP address and device signals |
Other disclosures:
- A sign-in provider you choose, such as Google, to confirm your identity.
- Push notification services run by Apple, Google or your browser maker, if you turn notifications on. They receive the notification itself and not your readings.
- App stores, to confirm purchases.
- People you choose to share with (Section 8).
- Professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants, under duties of confidentiality.
- Authorities and others, where required by law or legal process, or where we believe in good faith it is necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of NixxTech, our users or others.
- A successor business, in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business. We will tell you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
We require every service provider that handles personal information to protect it to at least the standard described in this policy.
You may ask us for the current list of service providers that handle your personal information by writing to privacy@the-quiet-oracle.com.
10. How Long We Keep Information
- Account and Service data. For as long as your account is open.
- After you delete your account. We delete your personal information within 30 days, except as stated below.
- Trial record. To prevent repeat free trials, we keep a one-way scrambled form of your email address, which cannot be turned back into the address, and whether it has had a trial.
- Daily card records. Each time you change how your daily card reaches you, we keep a short record of the change: when and where you made it, the wording and language shown, your account number, and a one-way scrambled form of your email address. We keep each record for three years after the change, including after your account is deleted, so that we can show you asked for the daily email if that is ever questioned. We use these records for nothing else.
- Chart sharing records. We keep the record of a chart link and of each agreement to share or connect while your account is open, including after the link is stopped or the connection has ended, so that a stopped link can never work again and so that we can show what was agreed. They are deleted when you delete your account. The record of a connection is also deleted when the other person deletes theirs.
- Readings other people asked for. A reading of you and another person belongs to the account of the person who asked for it. It stays there after a connection ends, and after you delete your account, until that person deletes it or their account. It holds the text of the reading and the name they knew you by. While you are connected it also holds a record of the points where the two charts meet. We clear that record when either of you removes the other, and when you delete your account. The text stays. You can ask us to delete the reading (Section 11).
- Billing records. For as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Backups and logs. Removed on their normal cycle, which may be later than the deletion of live data.
- Information held by our AI service provider. As described in Section 5.
Saved journal entries are capped at 50 on the Seeker plan. Nothing is deleted when you reach the limit. Saving a new entry is blocked until you remove one, which you do by deleting the reading it belongs to.
11. Your Choices and Rights
You can do the following yourself, in the Service:
- change your birth details and your password;
- download your chart;
- turn memory on or off and delete what it holds;
- turn the daily card and notifications on or off;
- delete individual readings, which also deletes the journal entry saved with each one, and people in your Orbit;
- stop sharing your chart, from the Share button on your chart, which turns your link off;
- show your full chart to a person you are connected with, or hide it again, and remove that person, from their card in your Orbit;
- delete your account.
You may also ask us to:
- confirm whether we hold personal information about you, and give you a copy, including your reading history and journal;
- correct information that is wrong;
- delete your information;
- tell you which service providers handled it;
- stop or limit a particular use, or withdraw a consent you gave. Readings cannot be generated without sending content to our AI service provider, so withdrawing your agreement to that means we can no longer generate readings for you. To withdraw it, delete your account, or ask us and we will delete your account for you.
Write to privacy@the-quiet-oracle.com from your account email. We will confirm your identity through that address and respond within 30 days, or within the period your local law sets if that is shorter. If we refuse a request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and we will answer the appeal within 45 days. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
If you ask us to delete your information, we still keep the records described in Section 10 for the periods stated there.
12. Security
We protect personal information with measures that include encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls at the database level, and limited staff access. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as the law requires.
13. Where Information Is Processed
We are based in the United States, and we and our service providers process information in the United States and in other countries where they operate. Those countries may have privacy laws different from the laws where you live. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Section 16.3 explains how we protect information sent to the United States.
14. Children
The Service is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has given us information, write to privacy@the-quiet-oracle.com and we will delete it.
15. Cookies and Tracking Signals
We use only the cookies and similar storage needed to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and protect the Service from abuse. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies, and we do not track you across other websites or apps. Because we do not track you across sites, the Service works the same whether or not your browser sends a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal.
16. Regional Information
16.1 California
This section describes our practices for California residents.
- Categories collected in the last 12 months: identifiers (name, email address, IP address, account number); commercial information (plan and purchase history); internet activity (usage and log information); user content you provide (questions, readings, journal, photographs); and information about other people that you enter. Depending on what you choose to write, your content may include sensitive information.

- Purposes: those in Section 4.
- Disclosures: to the categories of service provider and other recipients in Section 9, for the business purposes described there.
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the last 12 months. We do not use sensitive information for purposes other than providing the Service.
- Your rights: to know, access, correct and delete, and not to be treated differently for exercising them. Use the methods in Section 11. You may use an authorized agent, who must show written permission from you.
- Shine the Light: we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing.
16.2 Consumer health data (Washington, Nevada and similar laws)
Some of what you tell the Service may reveal something about your physical or mental health. Our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explains how we handle that information and the rights you have.
16.3 European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland
This section applies if you use the Service from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland. NIXX TECH GROUP INC. is the controller of your personal information.
Why we may use your information.
- To perform our contract with you: to create your account, calculate your chart, generate readings and provide the rest of the Service.
- Your consent: for the daily card by email or notification, for memory, and, where your questions or readings reveal sensitive information such as health, beliefs or sexuality, for using that information to give you readings, which you agree to when you create your account (Section 5). You can withdraw consent at any time as described in Section 11. Withdrawing does not affect what we did before.
- Our legitimate interests: to keep the Service and your account secure, prevent fraud, abuse and repeat free trials, understand in aggregate how the Service is used so we can improve it, and keep the records described in Section 10 so we can show what you agreed to. You can object to this use.
- Legal obligations: to keep billing records and to respond to lawful requests.
You need to give us an email address and birth details to use the Service. Everything else is up to you. We do not make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you based solely on automated processing.
Transfers to the United States. We are based in the United States, so your information is transferred there (Section 13). Where a service provider is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, or its UK or Swiss extension, we rely on that certification. Otherwise we rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, with the UK addendum and the Swiss amendments where they apply. You may ask us for a copy of these safeguards by writing to privacy@the-quiet-oracle.com.
Your rights. You have the right to:
- access your personal information and get a copy of it;
- have inaccurate information corrected;
- have your information erased;
- restrict how we use it;
- receive the information you gave us in a portable format, or have it sent to another company;
- object to our use of it based on legitimate interests;
- withdraw any consent you have given.
Use the methods in Section 11. We will respond within one month, and we will tell you if we need longer for a complex request, as the law allows.
Complaints. We would like to hear from you first, but you have the right to complain to a data protection authority: in the European Economic Area, the authority in the country where you live or work or where you believe the problem happened; in the United Kingdom, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO); and in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
